Q. I’ve been a fan of Susan Sarandon since I saw her in Pretty Baby. What’s up with my favorite actress? — June, Detroit.
June, you are going way back with the Pretty Baby reference. (For those not familiar, Sarandon played the 12-year-old Brooke Shields’ mother in the 1978 film.) But Sarandon has some interesting plans in store with her real-life daughter.
The Wrap reports that NBC is developing a comedy that would star Susan and her daughter Eva Amurri Martino, who starred in the movie Saved. The show, which would be co-produced and written by Martino, would feature Susan’s daughter as a freewheeling, career-oriented woman who suddenly starts questioning her life’s goals.
So, being that this is sitcom world, Martino’s character invites her mother to move in with her in hopes she gets some perspective on her life. Think of it as Fox’s Dads without the racist jokes.
